Sequoia Corporation was founded in 1960 by Edward
Swindle... Ed saw a need for a mask off tape that would not contaminate
nor leave adhesive. Necessity is the mother of invention and so he
developed GSV-1 non-adhesive, used predominately in hard chrome plating.
Ed started the American Electroplaters Society's first school for
electroplaters, when he needed to learn more about plating. He got
Mort Schwartz to teach and the rest became history.
In 1970, Ed suffered a major heart attack and his wife
Carolie took over Sequoia and found a need for a tape for the inside
diameter of parts. Using Ed's basic PVC formula and a Hycar-Nitrile
type adhesive, SC-1 was developed. As other needs arose, new
products were added to Sequoia's line to meet customer needs. In
1988, daughter Sandi took over management. Sandi can be seen
exhibiting yearly at Sur-Fin and the Airline Plating Forum.
Sequoia Corporation has no sales people. We
believe, if you offer the public the best possible product at the lowest
price, maintaining high quality control, it will sell itself. This
has proven to be true. We sell 90% of all hard chrome, electroles
nickel, andodizers, crankshaft rebuilders and government repair stations
in the United States as well as the world's major airlines and aircraft
manufacturers, also many P.C. board manufacturers and janitorial
suppliers. |
